🎓 Hey Canadian students! Planning to pursue a counselling degree in the US? Here's what you need to know:✔️ Make sure to choose a program accredited by CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) for general counselling. Additionally, look for accreditation by COAMFTE (Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education) if you're interested in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).✔️ CACREP and COAMFTE ensure national standards for counselling and MFT programs, guaranteeing quality education and training. 💼✨Explore the list of CACREP and COAMFTE-accredited programs on their website under the Program DirectoryStudents in accredited programs undergo specialized coursework and complete practicum and internship hours, setting them up for success in their counselling careers. 📚💡As someone who attended a school in Florida, I'll be diving into the requirements specific to that state. But wherever you're aiming to practice, attending an accredited program increases your chances of meeting licensing requirements. 🌎✅Choose your path wisely for a fulfilling counselling journey! #CounselingDegree #CACREP #COAMFTE #StudyAbroad 🌟

❓️How many advisors, that you know of, have gone outside looking for first time appointments who didn't exist?Come on people...🤔... you could tell the difference between a student who is genuinely lost, and someone who is pulling your leg when they're really at home scrubbing their dog.👉As advisors, you can also get a sense of those students you really connected with during the first call. How?😉Well, after you hang up, you should be able to name three reasons why they Need this opportunity.👇If not, they'll be the ghost standing by the red hydrant.#admissions #education #appointmentsetting

When is it a good time to have a career plan?My kid is in 8th grade and has a Business and Marketing class, where they discuss future careers. My kid has decided on a profession, made it a goal of hers, and has a plan to meet those goals. Her profession is one that everyone will need one day, or everyone's family will need for them. An 8th grader has decided to be a Mortician. She has identified schools and courses she needs to take to help in this career, a few years before when I started thinking about this stuff.I think this is wonderful. #mortuary #kids #careerplanning #goals #mortician #funeralservices
