cute but shuts down early

The boardwalk seemed very fun, but beware- things close early! We arrived around 5pm on a Monday evening, and the carrousel, gift shop, and ice cream stands were already closed! Maybe Monday is an off day. We were bummed because it seemed like it would have been a great time if things were open.

The Buffalo Naval Park was near-by as was the Erie Canal Trail

We had a perfect evening at CanalSide. The Buffalo Naval Park was near-by as was the Erie Canal Trail. It was a perfect venue to have ice cream at Nick Charlap's and enjoy the view.

There is always something happening at Canalside
And it is surrounded by other attractions.
We often visit by boat, but there is also
Ample car parking and it is easy to get too
Festivals, yoga, Zumba, food, the Naval
park, jazz, breweries, Explore and More, ice skating and curling in winter, water boats in summer. The list goes on and on.
Also the launching place for boat tours and kayaks
If you haven’t been, you are missing out!

Nice walk along the boardwalk

I think we went at a bad time of the year. It appeared that there would be more activities in a different season. We had a lovely walk along the boardwalk. We saw a place to take boat tours, but we were pressed for time and couldn't go. Close to Templeton Landing where we walked to our next group activity.

Canalside in Buffalo is a must visit for all ages & activity levels. The ice bikes 🚴🏽 are amazing fun 🤩. These ice bikes are very stable for all abilities to ride with ease.

Nice waterfront park

Nice to see buffalo trying to open up the waterfront for residents and visitors. Can take boat tours, rent kayaks or just hang out by the water.

Best meal of my life! HE TOOK HIS New England roots and mixed them with his Mistral/French knowledge with an Israeli couscous, with lemon, fresh peas, peanuts, and Asiago that BLEW MY MIND!!!! Nutty on nutty on nutty-phenomenal! Each element had its own textures too so you got a crunch from the peanuts, a pop of the fresh peas, the tender pearls of the Israeli couscous, and the soft nutty Asiago on top. BLEW MY MIND. Gonna try making it. The seafood-so fresh, so New England-in a lemon beurre blanc-un-frickin-believable.

A taste of heaven

Skating was great. Ice well maintained. Staff very friendly and welcoming. They help you through the waver form. The ice rink is well lit at night and very festive. Worth the price. Great place for children and teens.
